Where can I install the Liv EZ?

The Liv EZ fits comfortably between two wall studs and can be installed in kitchens, bars, mudrooms, gyms or anywhere in the home with a water line.

Does Liv EZ require professional installation?

The installation of this product requires connection to a cold water line. If that isn’t something you are comfortable doing, a qualified plumber could make the water line connection.

What kind of filtration does Liv EZ use?

Liv EZ ships with Elkay's 71300C Filter that is tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 372 and 401 for the reduction of lead, PFOA/PFOS, microplastics, Class 1 particulate, cysts, and chlorine taste and odor.

Does Liv EZ dispense sparkling or hot water?

Liv EZ dispenses still water only.

Is Liv EZ loud when running?

No, Liv EZ operates quietly, making it perfect for open kitchens and living spaces.

Is the Liv EZ chilled?

An optional remote chiller option is available.

Does Liv EZ require a drain and electrical?

We kept it simple for this model—3 AA batteries = no electrical hook up needed. Rechargeable batteries work great too. We also offer a Liv model that uses electricity vs. batteries and other enhanced features too!

Why does Liv EZ run on batteries and not electrical?

Liv EZ runs on 3 AA batteries so install is super easy. We recommend rechargeable batteries. Or check out our other Liv model that uses electrical power and offers other enhanced features.

How is Liv EZ different from a fridge dispenser?

How often do I need to change the filter?

The filter is good for 2,250-gallon capacity or 1 year after installation depending on water quality and usage.

How do I know when to change the filter?

Liv EZ features a filter status indicator light to alert you when it is time for replacement.

Are replacement filters easy to find?

Yes. Replacement filters are widely available online and through select Elkay retailers.

How do I clean Liv EZ?

Simply wipe down the exterior with a soft cloth.

What is the warranty?

Liv EZ comes with a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor, with extended options available.

Which Liv EZ SKUs come with the chiller?

LBWDM06SSBC (Steel Gray), LBWDM06BKBC (Midnight), and LBWDM06WHBC (Aspen White) are the three Liv EZ SKUs that come with the ERS11Y chiller. 

Does the ERS11Y chiller ship in the same box?

All SKUS that start with the LBWDM06- suffix ship with the ERS11Y chiller in an overpack.

What type of power does the chiller need?

The chiller plugs into a standard household electrical outlet, making installation simple.

Does the Liv EZ chiller require ventilation?

Yes. For optimal performance, the chiller needs at least 6 inches of clearance on all sides to allow proper airflow and prevent overheating.

How much water does the chiller hold at one time?

The internal chilled water vessel always holds around 32 oz of water.

How much chilled water can the system produce?

The system can chill 1.5 gallons of water per hour to approximately 50° F, delivering consistently refreshing water throughout the day.

How often does the chiller run?

On average, the chiller cycles 4-5 times per hour. This is normal and helps ensure consistent cooling.

Is the chiller noisy when it's running?

No. The chiller operates quietly and is not disruptive in residential spaces like kitchens, mudrooms, or closets.

Why is the first bit of water coming out not always cold?

Any water sitting in the water line after the chiller will naturally war to room temperature over time. This is typically about 6 ounces, depending on how far the chiller is from your Liv EZ unit.
