Zurn Elkay Expands Line of ADA-Compliant Stainless Steel Sinks
MILWAUKEE, WI, November 10, 2023 – Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, the industry’s largest supplier of cleaner water solutions for drinking water, hygiene and sustainable water management, launched an extension of the Elkay® Crosstown® stainless steel sink line featuring ADA-compliant designs. Elkay residential products combine performance and style, with faucets, sinks and drinking water solutions that make everyday tasks easier and put clean water within reach. Elkay offers a full line of products that follow the requirements specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act – including sinks, faucets and water delivery products. The new Crosstown sinks are the latest addition to Elkay’s extensive portfolio of products that comply with ADA Accessibility Guidelines.

As an extension of the Crosstown sink collection, the new ADA-compliant models bring a mix of beauty and functionality to the kitchen, making working at the sink easier and more stylish. The sinks come in a polished satin finish – a beautiful, polished steel with a soft, linear grain that provides a radiant surface. The modern style includes tight corners and creased accent lines, giving a fresh, geometric design and more space to work.
The Crosstown line is crafted from high-quality 18-gauge thickness and Type 304 stainless steel for lasting durability and performance. It also includes Sound Guard® sound-deadening pads and undercoating to minimize sound and vibration for a quieter time at the sink.
When installed correctly, these models are ADA-compliant and increase accessibility and ease of use at the sink. The line is available in a range of styles and sizes, from bar/prep to large single- and double-bowl options, to fit your needs.
“With depths from 5” to 6” and a variety of sizes, it's easy to create a kitchen workspace with 27” of knee clearance that balances functionality and accessibility,” says Joe Wolff, Manager – Product Compliance.
The offset drain placement offers more usable space on the bottom of the sink. Placing the plumbing at the back of the sink creates barrier-free space underneath for wheelchair access.
“Everyone, no matter their circumstance, should have a beautiful kitchen and that should not stop at the sink,” notes White.
