Questions

Greetings, for a non-refrigerated unit, what is the recommended filter location? Is there a max distance from the unit? And how often should it be changed? I supposed one option is to add the optional access panel and locate the filter directly behind.

Asked by: Architect
Thank you for your question on the LZWS-SFGRN8K. For easier filter changes, the installer can mount the filter to a structural member (one of the wall studs) below the bottle filler. However, we would still recommend mounting it to the chiller. The filter status lights will indicate when to change the filter. If the demand is not very high, the filter will need to be changed annually. Otherwise, the filter will last for 3000 gallons of use.

Hello, I am writing to find out the electrical requirements of the LZWS-SFGRN28K. Is this particular unit hard-wired or plug-in? Or does the water cooler portion require a plug and the bottle filler portion hard-wired? One circuit or two?

Asked by: Mike V
Thank you for your question on the LZWS-SFGRN28K. This unit requires hardwiring for both the bottle filler & the chiller. The bottle filler requires 1 amp and the chiller requires 5 amp, for a total of 6 amps required. I have included the links to the spec sheets for both the unit as a whole and the chiller that is included. http://www.elkayfiles.com/spec-sheets/lzws-sfgrn28k_spec.pdf http://www.elkayfiles.com/spec-sheets/ech8grn_spec.pdf
