Questions

I am specifying the LZWS-EDFP217K and do not have access behind the unit. Do I need to have access panels in the front at both the top and the bottom of the unit? This is mounted to meet ADA requirements for use. Please advise.

This model complies with ADA & ICC A117.1 accessibility requirements when installed according to the requirements outlined in these standards. Installation may require additional components and/or construction features to be fully compliant. Consult the local Authority Having Jurisdiction if necessary.

What is the ADA requirement installation dimensions (if any) for a bottle filler?

Thank you for your question on the Elkay EZWS-EDFP217K ezH2O Bottle Filling Station & Integral Soft Sides Fountain. The ADA standard’s reach range section can be interpreted multiple ways when it comes to a sensor-activated bottle filler. We recommend placing the sensor at or below 44” above the finished floor, although any inspector would probably allow the sensor to be as high as 48”. For this model, the more important dimension is the height of the bottom of the low fountain. If that’s placed at 27” above the finished floor, the bottle filler’s sensor should be right at 44”.

How is the connection for the bottle filler drain done?

Thank you for your question on the Elkay EZWS-EDFP217K ezH2O Bottle Filling Station & Integral Soft Sides Fountain. The bottle filler uses the same drain line as the fountain on the same side. The trap on the bottle filler side must be 1-1/2” O.D. and is not included with the unit. i cannot get the recommended 8" clearance at on the backside of the unit. The most i can get is 6 1/2". Will this be sufficient for the installation?

Thank you for your question on the Elkay EZWS-EDFP217K EZH2O Bottle Filling Station & Integral Soft Sides Fountain. We do not recommend it but you will be able to make that clearance dimension work. The fountain arms & main panel, with the bottle filler, will need to be removed if any service (for the Solenoid, IR, or control board) is required after installation. how do you reset filter status, changed filter took cover off right hand bubbler, and there is no black reset button

On page 6 in the left-hand column, you will find the steps for Accessing The Programming Button and Reset The Filter Monitor. Those will take you through resetting the filter status light.
